The Boise Valley Alumnae Association
About Us
The Boise Valley Alumnae Association was granted a charter from Kappa Kappa Gamma Headquarters on April 16, 1921. There were nine founding members. Membership remained small at the beginning with 15 members in 1931. We now boast about 100 dues-paying members each year.
Our chapter is the largest in the Treasure Valley and one of the most active in the Northwest with 7 or more events each year. We won the Iota East Margaret Ream Larsen Sisterhood Award at the 2009 Province Convention. This award recognizes the alumnae association that best exemplifies the meaning of sisterhood among its members.
We provide support to two active chapters, Beta Kappa at the University of Idaho in Moscow, and Zeta Pi at the College of Idaho in Caldwell.
Our philanthropies include the active chapters, support for the Kappa Foundation, the Leadership Academy, Reading Is Fundamental, the Women’s and Children’s Alliance.
Each year we have a winter party that is our one fundraising event. See attached link to view available auction items, please bid to support our association.
Officers and board members are elected each spring and serve for one year.
