The Boulder Alumnae Association
As individuals with time, talents and treasures, Kappas first support our sisters; second, we participate in local service projects; and third, we serve the greater good.
Our association also supports the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation with financial gifts and Rose McGill magazine subscription sales to help fund scholarships, confidential aid, education and training, and support of our two museums.
In addition, we participate in the Rose McGill Holiday Sharing program which sponsors a Kappa alum in need. We fulfill her wish list during the holiday season and send cards throughout the year.
Each October our Alumnae Association teams up with the local Beta Mu actives at the University of Colorado and creates a wonderful community event named the Halloween House. Both alumnae and actives work together to create a safe and fun environment for families with young children to celebrate Halloween. Children can trick-or-treat through the house, play games, make crafts and enjoy a sing-a-long. Proceeds from the event are donated to BoulderReads!, an adult literacy program in Boulder.
Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), our official philanthropic partner, has been supported through the donation of thousands of books and volunteer hours to Boys and Girls Clubs, elementary schools and hospitals.
