Philanthropy

The Chapel Hill Alumnae Associaton prides itself on its dedication to serving our sisters, the local community and the greater good.

As individuals with diverse interests, time, talents and treasures, we support a wide range of philanthropic efforts.  As a sisterhood, we support other Kappas through annual fundraising events for the Rose McGill Aid, which provides scholarships, confidential aid and continuing education to our members.  Locally, we participate in 5ks/marathons, serve as tutors and mentors to area students and aid in neighborhood charity events.  Nationally, Kappa Kappa Gamma supports Reading is Fundamental (RIF), an organization that works to promote literacy among K-12 youths.  RIF has donated thousands of books to Boys and Girls Clubs, hospitals and schools nationwide.

Beyond these group efforts, our individual members volunteer with organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Susan G. Komen, Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test, the Student Health Action Coalition, and the Coaliton for Action in Literacy Education.
