Dear Kappa Sisters,

Dear Kappa Sisters,

As I begin my second year as President, I’ve given a lot of thought to our events, fundraisers and philanthropies we participated in over the last year and have come up with one simple goal for this year’s events – make it bigger and make it better.

We have a lot to be proud of in the last year; partnering with Lilly Pulitzer and Reading is Fundamental for our Founders Day Luncheon, sponsoring a reading event at a local library for a Reading is Key Event, and our crowning moment, meeting and exceeding our fundraising goals with our Heels & Deals Silent Auction. Heels & Deals was our baby, originally thought up and organized by the board. It was a massive undertaking, and the project definitely tested us in every way possible, which is why we are still so proud and honored that it was nationally recognized by Kappa Headquarters! (I still have to resist the urge to shout from the roof tops about it.)

But all that bragging aside, how we make the events bigger and better is totally and completely up to you. It’s no small secret that without your participation we wouldn’t have all these events to brag about. I would love to see each and every one of you get involved this year. Its not just about the participation at events, it’s the behind-the-scenes help as well.

I know that we are all busy bees, what with our jobs, families, social lives, weddings etc., but lets work together to make this year legen…wait for it…dary!

Loyally,
Caitlin M.
