Philanthropy has become an inseparable part of Kappa life for both collegians and alumnae. As we continue our tradition of leadership in serving others, let us all remember that philanthropy is an opportunity to live out our Kappa values.
Because of your generosity in 2009-2010, the Ft. Lauderdale Kappa Alumnae Association donated $250 to the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation and $250 to the Barbara Marko Scholarship Fund. But we topped that amount in 2010-2011 due to overwhelming success of our Heels & Deals Fundraiser and were able to contribute our largest amount ever to the KKG Foundation in the amount of $1000!! Thank you to everyone for supporting Kappa!
The Barbara Marko Scholarship Fund was established in 1992 in her honor. Barbara is remembered as a "Kappa lady through and through" by other members. She served as president of the Ft. Lauderdale Alumnae Association in 1962 and 1966 and was very involved in the local community as well. A deserving Kappa is awarded a $3,000 college scholarship at each biennial convention.
Current Philanthropic Events
