The Greater Pittsburgh Alumnae Association
The official philanthropy of Kappa Kappa Gamma is Reading is Fundamental, Inc. (RIF). RIF was founded in 1966, and it is the oldest and largest children's and family non-profit literacy organization in the US. RIF prepares and motivates children to read by delivering free books and literacy resources to those in need.
The Greater Pittsburgh Alumnae Association has actively helped RIF by donating books, assisting at RIF Book Fairs at a local elementary school, and by building a classroom library for a class at a local elementary school. We are ALWAYS accepting donations of books and money to help local children.
We also encourage our members to support the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation with financial gifts and Rose McGill magazine subscription sales to help fund scholarships, confidential aid, education and training, and support of Kappa's two museums.
