Louisville Alumnae Association Philanthropy
As individuals with time, talents and treasures, Kappas first support our sisters; second, we participate in local service projects; and third, we serve the greater good.
Our women support elementary schools, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and Habitat for Humanity to name a few. Chapter fundraising events support causes such as the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure (Breast Cancer Awareness) and Reading is Fundamental.
Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), our official philanthropic partner, has been supported through the donation of thousands of books. Furthermore, we hope to organize volunteers to support local literacy efforts.
Our goal as an association is to organize one big fundraiser per year that will benefit literacy efforts in the local community. We will provide more information on this endeavor in the future.
