Volunteer Opportunities
Our Association invites our members to meet other Kappas and give back to our community by serving as an officer, committee chair, or committee member.
We hope you will consider giving a bit of your time in support of Kappa! You may contact the Board directly for more information.
Philanthropy Committee
Volunteers meet with the Philanthropy Chair to brainstorm and plan one big event each year the will help support local literacy efforts. Please contact the Philanthropy Chair Meaghan if you are interested.
RIF Committee (Reading is Fundamental)
Volunteers will meet with the Philanthropy Chair to plan opportunities to collect books that may be sent to RIF. Volunteers will also organize opportunities for members to volunteer in the local community reading to children. It is fun and rewarding! We need volunteers so please consider helping out. Please contact the Philanthropy Chair Meaghan if you are interested.
Event Home Hostess
We would like to host some of our events in the homes of members. We feel this would bring a more personal feel to our events and allow us to get to know one another better. It would also be beneficial for events in which we incorporate ritual. If you would like to host an event in your home, we would love to hear from you! Please contact President Whitney if you are interested.
Event Refreshments
Our events often include light refreshments such as drinks and snacks. If you would like to help us by providing one refreshment at an event, it would be appreciated. You don't even have to be handy in the kitchen- this is easy! Please contact President Whitney if you are interested.
Technology Chair
We need a volunteer to be our technology chair. This member will be charge of keeping news and information up-to-date on our website. Most pages are updated once annually and others as needed. NO programming knowledge is required! If you can use Word, send an email, and make a phone call, you are qualified and we need you! It is a great way to add to your skills bank and training will be provided. Please contact President Whitney if you are interested.
Zeta Gamma (Centre College) Advisory and House Board
Our Association provides the official support for Centre College Kappa Kappa Gamma. If you would like to volunteer on the House Board or Advisory Board you must be a dues paying member. You may only serve in one capacity, the House Board or the Advisory Board, NOT BOTH. The House Board is responsible for the management of the facility and support staff. The Advisory Board is responsible for advising undergraduate officers while they serve in their position. Please contact President Whitney if you are interested.
