Welcome to the Louisville Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association
Dear Kappa Sisters,
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Louisville Alumnae Association! I hope you will join us as we celebrate the richness of Kappa’s history by becoming a member of the Association and returning your membership form and dues. Our dues are $40 and are used to support our national organization as well as the cost of our group’s communication and events.
The focus of the Alumnae Association is to plan events for area Kappas to meet, make new friends and have fun! As a member, you will receive our newsletter, invitations to Association and interest group events, and the opportunity to strengthen your leadership skills as an officer in the Association.
There are over 650 Kappas in the Louisville area. Some have lived here all their lives; some have just moved here. You may have a co-worker or neighbor that you didn’t even realize is a Kappa! Even if you feel like you don’t have time to become active with the Association this year, please support the future of Kappa by paying your dues and becoming a member! We all have busy schedules, so please join us whenever you can, even if it is just one time a year.
Over the last several months, I have received numerous cards and emails from Kappas across the country congratulating the Louisville Association on its 75th Birthday. My favorite card came from Jane Howk, Beta Chi, and included lines from a Tiffany advertisement entitled, “Why Big Birthdays are Important.” In closing, I would like to share these words with you and reiterate our hope that you will become a member of the Association during this special year.
