The Memphis Alumnae Association
Philanthropy 1-2-3
As individuals with time, talents and treasures, Kappas first support our sisters; second, we participate in local service projects; and third, we serve the greater good.
Literacy is Key
The primary philanthropic focus for our Association is the annual Literacy is Key: A Book and Author Affair. This yearly event brings together national and regional authors for a luncheon to raise funds for Literacy Mid-South, a 501c3 organization based in Memphis.
Please see our Literacy is Key Page for more information about our efforts and news about our upcoming event.
Reading is Fundamental
The Memphis Alumnae Association is proud of Kappa’s national partnership with Reading is Fundamental (RIF). RIF works to build a literate nation by helping young people discover the joy of reading. Each year, we work in collaboration with Literacy Mid-South to present a Kappa "Reading is Key" event to distribute books and enjoy fun activities with students in a Memphis Charter School.
