What's an Interest Group?
A group of NoVA Kappa Alumnae members who share common interests and meet monthly/bimonthly for fun events. New members are always welcome! In order to be a member of an interest group, you must be a current member of the Association, so be sure to register with the Association first so you can hear about upcoming events for the interest groups! We have several groups that are looking for a new chair. Don't see the interest group you were looking for below? You can start a new one!

Day Book Group: This group meets September through May on the second Wednesday of the Month at 10:30am.
Evening Book Group: This group will meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7pm.
Evening Bridge: Our group welcomes all levels of players including beginners who want to learn how to play better. If you can only play occasionlly, substitutes are most welcome. We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:15pm.
Alexandria Kappas: This group meets in the Alexandria area. We offer a chance for Kappas to get together in their neighborhoods, without having to drive long distances. You don't have to live in Alexandria to join us though!
KICKS (Kappas with Infants 2 College Kids): This group of Kappa moms provide fun social support while sharing child raising tips that span all age groups. These women offer a unique perspective on all types of topics such as schools, sports, vacations, summer activities, colleges, etc. It's a great way to share information with moms whose children are several years older or younger than yours. We meet at 7:30pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
Needlework Group: This wonderful group of Kappas meet monthly to work on various needlecraft projects ranging from cross-stitch to quilting. Beginners are always welcome. The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 10am.
Out and About: This group visits area sites as well as attends events and shows. We provide the opportunity not only to become better acquainted with your Kappa sisters, but to enjoy what's in our own backyard- the nation's capital! As a part of the Out and About, you will also have the opportunity to suggest trips to the Out and About interest group chair!
Runners and Walkers: Love to run or walk? Need a little extra motivation? This group is interested in everything from weekend trail runs to local charity races. All fitness levels welcome.
Night Owls: This group plans monthly happy hours and other social events throughout the area. We start at 5:30pm or whenever work is over for you!
