Reading Is Fundamental (RIF)
Kappas have always been committed to sharing our time, talent and treasure with our communities, and at the 2004 Convention, we adopted RIFas our national philanthropy.

KAPPA KARE BAGS
Kappa Kare Bags are a wonderful pick me up just in time for the stresses of finals! Totes are packed with great finals study snacks, treats and items of encouragement. Order forms are sent to the parents of Kappas at both Northwestern and Loyola in early October. Kappa Kare Bags are then delivered to the Kappas right before finals. Proceeds from Kappa Kare Bags are used to fund our philanthropy commitments.
HOLIDAY SHARING
Our association participates in the Holiday Sharing program, which is an offshoot of the KKG Foundation. Through the program each year, we are given the name of a Kappa woman for whom we purchase holiday gifts. For the past several years, we have been sending a package to another Kappa needing holiday cheer who is known by one of our members and we will continue that commitment as well.
STYLIN' FOR SCHOLARS
Panhel Stylin' For Scholars is an annual fashion show and luncheon which acts as the primary fundraiser for the Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumni Panhellenic Scholarships. Our KKG alumnae association prepares and donates a generous basket for the raffle portion of this fundraising event.
A fashion show will be provided by Chico's at The Meadows Club, 2950 Golf Road, Rolling Meadows. There are also jewelry vendors and a silent auction. Last year, Panhel gave out five $1500 scholarships to college bound young women regardless of their sorority aspirations/affiliations. They had a drawing to give out $500 scholarships to previous applicants who have pledged sororities.
