The Omaha Alumnae Association
Philanthropy: phi·lan·thro·py
1 : goodwill to fellowmen; especially : active effort to promote human welfare
2 a : a philanthropic act or gift b : an organization distributing or supported by philanthropic funds
As individuals with time, talents and treasures, Kappas first support our sisters; second, we participate in local service projects; and third, we serve the greater good.
Reading Is Fundamental
RIF is our official philanthropic partner and we support this effort by the donation of hundreds of books throughout the year to local organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, elementary schools and hospitals. To find out more about this great organization, please visit their website at www.rif.org.
Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation
Our Alumnae Association supports the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation with personal financial gifts and Rose McGill magazine subscription sales to help fund scholarships, confidential aid, education and training, and support of our two museums. If you need to order a Rose McGill magazine subscription, you can do so on-line! Just visit the Rose McGill Magazine Agency. You'll need to enter your username and password for the kappakappagamma.org page or if you're not a Kappa and wish to order, you can create a username and password right there!
Here in Omaha we always look forward to new and innovative ideas on how to help our local community. If you know of unique and interesting ways to give back, please send us your ideas!
As always--- bring a children's book for donation to every alumnae event!
