The Orange County Alumnae Association
PRESIDENT'S WELCOME
Soon after moving to Southern California, far away from family and friends, I joined the Northern Orange County Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma. I have fond recollections of the first meeting I attended so many years ago. I remember going home and telling my husband what a great time I had and was so excited to have these wonderful new friends. Several years ago, Northern Orange County joined forces with Southern Orange County to become Orange County Alumnae Association. This year we are welcoming Long Beach Kappas to our association. I am delighted to be president of this amazing group. We encompass a large geographic area dnd strive to provide a variety of events, programs and outings in different locations to give you many options for being involved in Kappa Kappa Gamma. There are many opportunties to renew friendships and make new acquaintances through our monthly meetings and the many dynamic interest groups such as Book Club, Lunch Bunch, Kareer Kappas, Night Owls, Bridge, Mom's Group and Outdoor Group.
Our theme for the year is Heart and Home and our programs reflect this spirit. We hope to inspire, interest and involve you with the selections which include cooking, fashion, home design, Kappa History, Holiday Sharing and more. We proudly support the local Kappa chapter at the University of California, Irvine and enjoy the opportunities to interact with them. As Kappas, we demonstrate throughout our lives the bonds of sisterhood and mutual support, sustaining members in bad times, celebrating in good times and sharing at all times.
I am looking forward to traveling to Seattle in August for a reunion with pledge sisters from my Gamma Eta Chapter, Washington State University. Isn't it great to reconnect with KKG sisters?! My Kappa daughter, Lise, just enjoyed a weekend reunion with fellow Leadership Consultants (aka Traveling Consultants). Kappa Kappa Gamma truly is for a lifetime.
Please join us and be part of the OCAA experience.
Loyally,
