Welcome Rhode Island Alumnae

Why is being a Kappa different from being a part of any other organization?

We are all so busy with commitments, children, meetings, volunteering and a million other things that fill our time and calendars. Why add one more thing to your plate? Because being a Kappa and being involved with other Kappas is different, we are connected as sisters and have a special bond before we’ve even introduced ourselves!

Kappa is our bridge across time, place and life experience. In the years since graduating, I have had many wonderful encounters with women whom I’ve instantly connected with, only to later learn that they, too, are Kappas.

At this year’s Kappa Convention (see my report on the convention inside this newsletter), I was reminded of just how special it is to be a Kappa and why enjoying companionship with other Kappas is different from a night out with a neighborhood group or a local book club.   Kappa is an organization of dynamic, compassionate, and shining women with whom I am proud to share a bond. We are active members of KKG for less than a handful of years, but we are Kappas for a lifetime.

If you’re a new graduate, please join us and experience how Kappa sharing and fun can continue after college.

If you’re new to Rhode Island, what better way to find a community in your new state than to find other Kappas!

If you’ve been away for awhile, we miss you and have a lot of fun and compelling opportunities to rejoin our group!

If you haven’t joined us before, we invite you to reconnect with Kappa and rediscover the Kappa spirit as an alumnae.

If you’ve been involved all along, we celebrate you and thank you for being a part of our continuing Kappa friendships!

We have the privilege of being in a small state and together we can do so much to help our community, to support one another and to reach across our borders with arms full of friendship!

Being a Kappa is special and different from any other group to which you belong. Join us. We welcome you!
