The Scottsdale Alumnae Association
The Scottsdale Alumnae Association is pleased to support Kappa sisters, local philanthropies, as well as contributing to the Diercks/Howard Trust and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation.
Philanthropy 1-2-3
As individuals with time, talents and treasures, Kappas first support our sisters; second, we participate in local service projects; and third, we serve the greater good.
Beginning with Holiday Sharing, the Scottsdale Alumnae Association takes the opportunity to participate personally in making a happier holiday for a Kappa sister in need.
The Scottsdale Alumnae Association also supports Ryan House, Scottsdale Prevention Institute, and Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC).
In addition to these local non-profit organizations, the Scottsdale Alumnae Association supports The Louise Diercks/Alphonsine Clapp Howard Memorial Trust. This Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees representing the three Valley Associations (East Valley, Phoenix, and Scottsdale). Each year, members of the Scottsdale Alumnae Association contribute to the Trust by making a tax-deductible donation to fund scholarships to undergraduate Kappas at Arizona State University. In 2009-2010, Scottsdale Alumnae donated a total of $2,125.00 to the Trust.
The Scottsdale Alumnae Association is also proud to further investment in every Kappa this year with a generous $1,500 donation to the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation. The Foundation's mission is to:
"deliver educational and leadership training, preserve the Fraternity's heritage from an historical perspective, provide scholarships and offer financial assistance to members in need by developing the financial resources to support these programs."
With current total donations over $25,000, the Scottsdale Alumnae Association is proud to be a member of the Adelphe Society of The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation. Financial gifts and Rose McGill magazine subscription sales have helped fund scholarships, confidential aid, education and training, and support of Kappa Kappa Gamma's two museums.
