Owls’ Nites Out!
The Night Owls group will be getting together several times throughout the next year and would love to see you at our events! All alumnae are invited for fun, casual events that are a way to stay connected to Kappa and socialize. The first event will be held Thursday, October 13, which is also our Founders Day. We will be meeting in downtown Perrysburg for the Farmers Market and then heading over to Swig for dinner and drinks. Other planned events for the upcoming year include a trip to the Lights at the Zoo, a wine night, a game night, and a trip to a Toledo Walleyes game or Toledo Mud Hens game. Contact will occur primarily through email, so please make sure your email address is updated with the alumnae group. Please express intrest and/or RSVP through the site. We hope to see you there!

Kappa Lunch Bunch

The “Lunch Bunch” group enjoyed a fabulous salad lunch this summer. Each Kappa brought a dish to share, including famous fleur-de-lis cookies. Some of the group sat outside on the wide porch overlooking the Maumee River and beautiful gardens. Former president installed the new officers and we shared stories about summer trips, adventures, and misadventures. Thank you, Helen, for hosting this lovely luncheon.

“Lunch Bunch” meets every other month at the Toledo Club. This group has included Kappas initiated before 1980 and “Wise Owls,” but all Kappa friends are warmly welcomed.

A group of Toledo Kappas met at Kingston Residence of Sylvania to present the 65 year award pin to a very special Kappa. Her son, with help from local alumnae, planned a lovely lunch for her and some of her Kappa friends.

The “Wise Owls,” a group of ladies initiated before 1950. They have been close Kappa sisters in Toledo for many
years. This year they met for luncheons, enjoyed a Valentine’s Day Tea, and a few also played bridge together.
