Kappa Kappa Gamma and GRAA believe in giving back and making the world a better place to live in.

Philanthropy 1-2-3

“As individuals with time, talent and treasures, Kappas first support our sisters; second, we participate in local service projects; and third, we serve the greater good.”

1. Support other Kappas

The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization that was created for this very purpose. You can learn more or donate by clicking on the below pictures.

2. Participate in Local Service Projects

GRAA members participate in a variety of philantropic activities. From running Susan G Komen Race for the Cure, paticipating in tennis-fitness fundraisers benefitting Toys for Tots, reading to children and makinjg monetary donations. GRAA members can be found making our communities a better place to live each day.

Kappa Kappa Gamma's national philanthropy is Reading is Fundamental (RIF) which focuses on literacy, specifically K-12. Did you know that two-thirds of America's children who live in poverty do not have books at home? The number of families living in poverty is increasing, soon this number will too. Learn more about RIF by clicking on the below image.

3. Serve the greater good

GRAA volunteers throughout the community in so many ways. Stocking up on non-parishable items to donate to the Food bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina Food, hosting clothing drives and monetary donations for various charities are a few of the ways that Kappas are involved and contributing in a positive way. We also have members that volunteer their time to help our local chaper, Eplison Gamma at the University of North Carolina year round.
