Lake Washington Alumnae Association of KKG

About our Philanthropies

Thanks to the generosity of all who have supported our fundraisers in the past and helped us meet important needs in our community!

In November of 2018 we are planning another fundraiser at Panera Bread to raise money for Friends of Youth Holiday Wish List items. We continue to support literacy at Lake Hills Elementary in Bellevue (our RIF school) and have donated over 90 books.  The books are needed for struggling readers, summer reading and some for cultural topics. The Literacy facilitator, Justine Sysmala states ‘You are a steward for our students and our community’.  In February we will be having our 3rd annual author program to raise funds to support this program.

Our association donated $2,450 to the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation that provides Scholarships, Emergency (Rose McGill) Assistance, for support for the Preservation of Kappa Heritage and museums. New this year is an Educational Program for all collegiate women on alcohol abuse, sexual assault prevention, mental health and wellness.

I am “Kappa Proud about what we do for our community and for Kappa”

If you would like to help with our philanthropy, please contact Marcia French at jamesmarciafrench@earthlink.net or 425-451-0186. This is a great opportunity to work with Kappa sisters, while supporting our community,
