As part of Kappa Kappa Gamma we work as an association to support the idea of Philanthropy 1-2-3. First, we support our Kappa sisters, second, we work within our local community, and finally, we help with our national philanthropy, Reading is Fundamental.
We are making ordering magazine subscriptions through the Rose McGill Magazine Agency to support Kappa sisters in need as well as donating to the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation a priority for the next year.
As active members of our community, our alumnae association believes in giving back in as many ways as we can. While we do not always donate our money we still find ways to support women in need through the donation of goods and our time. Our philanthropies include: an annual book drive to benefit Reading is Fundamental during which we collect children's books and donate them to a local elementary school, a baby shower to collect supplies to donate to women in need through Our Lady of Guadalupe Maternity Center, and a clothing drive and spring luncheon during which we clean out our closets and give gently-used business clothing to low income women who are entering the workforce through Washington Women's Employment and Education.
