Kappa Kappa Gamma is an organization of women, which seeks for every member throughout her life bonds of friendship, mutual support, opportunities for self-growth, respect for intellectual development, and an understanding of and an allegiance to positive ethical principles.
The Toledo Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma was founded over 80 years ago and continues to support the lifelong experience of multigenerational Kappas in the Toledo area.
Our social, educational and philanthropic activities bring us together in many ways throughout the year. A highlight of every year is our October celebration of Founders Day, always well attended by alumnae as well as Kappas from the Zeta Kappa Chapter at BGSU. Year-end brings our annual holiday party and assistance to a Kappa in need through the Rose McGill Holiday Sharing Program. Also at this time, books collected through our Reading Is Key children’s book drive are donated to the Toledo Day Nursery.
The new year brings philanthropy through Reading Is Fundamental, our annual dinner events as well as ongoing luncheon gatherings with the Kappa Lunch Bunch and Wise Old Owls.
Our alumnae association takes special pride in the support we provide to one another. We were the recent recipient of the province Adelphe Award recognizing the association that reaches members with a special support system that can come only from Kappas to Kappas.
If you are a Kappa alumna but have not been active within our association, please know that you are most welcome to contact us and to attend any of our activities. We encourage all Kappa alumnae to continue your support of Kappa and our Toledo Alumnae Association. We are a dynamic group of women with a common bond worth sharing.
